The Alloy Block
Construction on New York City’s first fully electric skyscraper topped out in Downtown Brooklyn in 2023.
AKRF is providing civil engineering and acoustical consulting for The Alloy Block comprising five buildings with residential, educational, office, cultural, and retail space in Downtown Brooklyn. We are also performing construction inspection for the sewer reconstruction.
The building program includes two public schools designed to meet Passive House standards: the Khalil Gibran International Academy high school and a 500-seat elementary school.
We previously prepared the CEQR Environmental Impact Statement (then known as 80 Flatbush Avenue) for which the New York City Educational Construction Fund issued a Notice of Completion in 2018. The project is being developed by Alloy Development and designed by Architecture Research Office.
