A new science campus for Rockefeller University's researchers welcomed its first occupants in 2019.

The two-acre Stavros Niarchos Foundation-David Rockefeller River Campus opened at Rockefeller University in Manhattan with over 160,000 square feet of laboratories, offices, conference rooms, and common areas designed by Rafael Vinoly Architects.

AKRF prepared the CEQR Environmental Impact Statement; provided vibration and crack monitoring for the protection of historic structures during construction; and performed site assessment and remediation services both on campus and at the surrounding FDR Drive expansion site.

We also coordinated with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation and the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission concerning proposed modifications to the historic campus and the potential to impact historic structures and prepared a landscape restoration plan for a portion of the university’s modern campus landscape.
