Quarry Lawn and River Walk Project
AKRF is leading the design of a new park within Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park along the Passaic River.
The new park would be owned by the City of Paterson but operated in partnership with the National Park Service. The project is located within the former Quarry and Allied Textile Printing site and adjacent to Overlook Park, which provides scenic views of the Paterson Great Falls. Our team includes Andropogon and Quinn Evans, among other partners.
QLRWP will be home to a new visitor center for the National Historical Park and its historically significant industrial buildings. In addition to the ruins that have been overtaken by vegetation, the 60-foot-tall quarry face itself remains as a striking remnant and artifact of the industrial heritage of the site.
