Northlight at Edge-on-Hudson
Northlight at Edge-on-Hudson is a mixed-use development on the former site of a GM assembly plant in Sleepy Hollow.
AKRF provided geotechnical engineering and site assessment/remediation for the redevelopment of Parcel F with a five-story, 246-unit luxury residential building. The building is being developed by Hines and designed by Dwell Design Studio.
We prepared and completed a subsurface exploration, conducted a deep foundation analysis for the proposed structures, and developed construction documents. During construction AKRF inspected axial and lateral pile load tests, fill placement and backfill, and the installation of over 680 driven H-piles and pipe piles.
We also supervised environmental monitoring field staff, reported to NYSDEC and the Village of Sleepy Hollow, and coordinated the design, construction, and start-up of the sub-slab depressurization system.
Upon completion the 70-acre master planned development will include a boutique hotel, parkland, and residential, retail, and office properties.
