Brooklyn Methodist Hospital opened the largest ambulatory care facility in Brooklyn in 2021.

Located in Brooklyn’s Park Slope neighborhood and designed by Perkins Eastman, the 400,000-square-foot facility includes an ambulatory surgery center, endoscopy/special procedures suite, cancer center of excellence, and an institute for orthopedic surgery.

AKRF prepared the CEQR Environmental Assessment Statement, prepared the Construction Protection Plan, and performed construction monitoring services to protect neighboring buildings in the Park Slope Historic District during construction.

We self-performed the crack and vibration monitoring and oversaw the optical monitoring work performed by a subconsultant. Our work included monitoring vibration in the MRI suite of the existing hospital to assist in diagnosing potential construction vibration effects on the medical imaging equipment.
