AKRF led SEQRA environmental review, geotechnical engineering, and site assessment and remediation services for the new $180 million, 114,000-square-foot outpatient facility in Uniondale. The two-story facility designed by Ewing Cole houses medical exam and treatment spaces, a rehabilitation center with a gym, an on-site café, and a five-story parking garage.

Our geotechnical engineering team coordinated the oversight of subsurface exploration contractors during the subsurface investigation; performed design calculations made for the shallow foundation system; performed uplift analysis of foundations; and designed tiedown anchors for the foundations as a result of high wind loads anticipated at the site.
