Memorial Sloan Kettering opened a $1.5 billion, 750,000-square-foot cancer treatment facility in Manhattan in 2019.
AKRF prepared the Environmental Impact Statement, consulted on transportation circulation and sound attenuation, and provided site assessment/remediation services. We also prepared and secured a NYSDEC Facility Registration and several NYCDEP work permits and certificates to operate for the facility’s boilers, natural gas fired microturbines, and stand-by fuel oil generators.
The outpatient facility occupies 25 floors with 231 exam rooms, 110 infusion rooms, 37 procedure rooms, and 16 inpatient beds. The design was led by Perkins Eastman and Ennead.
