Keys Energy Center
The Keys Energy Center, owned by PSEG Fossil, is a new 755-megawatt natural gas-fired combined-cycle power plant in Maryland.
AKRF first supported PSEG Fossil during the project acquisition phase and proceeded to provide full licensing support for the facility, which also included the development of an approximately 8-mile natural gas interconnection and new off-site water, sewer, and electric interconnections.
We coordinated the preparation of various permitting applications, management plans, and other environmental approvals required for construction of the primary power plant site and the off-site interconnections. Our team participated in routine status updates provided by the project’s EPC contractor and subcontractors, reviewed regulatory and agency submittals, and performed schedule tracking and compliance verification.
