Financial District and Seaport Climate Resilience Master Plan
The FiDi and Seaport neighborhood in Lower Manhattan is vulnerable to climate change-induced flooding.
Released by the New York City Economic Development Corporation and Mayor’s Office of Climate Resiliency in 2021, the Financial District and Seaport Climate Resilience Master Plan reimagines the Lower Manhattan shoreline and creates a resilient waterfront to withstand severe coastal storms and rising sea levels.
AKRF supported the regulatory and permitting process as part of the Arcadis-led master planning team and developed and implemented an aquatic resource sampling program for plankton, fish, and sediment and water quality within the East River study area in consultation with state and federal regulatory and resource agencies.
