Essex Crossing is redeveloping nine vacant or underutilized sites on Manhattan's Lower East Side.

The full development program includes over 1,000 residences, 400,000 square feet of office space, and 450,000 square feet of retail space along with a public park and green spaces — a dramatic transformation of the former Seward Park Extension Urban Renewal Area.

AKRF first prepared the CEQR Generic Environmental Impact Statement for approximately 1.7 million square feet of mixed-use redevelopment on an expedited timeline. We are now leading civil engineering and permitting for each site and providing resident engineering inspection oversight.

We have also provided geotechnical engineering and analysis as well as site assessment and remediation, acoustical consulting, cultural resources, and transportation planning.
