A new Comprehensive Plan for Easton envisions unique Downtown, West Ward, South Side, and College Hill neighborhoods.

Located on the banks of the Delaware and Lehigh Rivers in eastern Pennsylvania, the City of Easton suffered significant population and business losses from the 1960s to 1980s before undergoing a revitalization in recent years. To maintain this momentum and manage and guide growth in the near and mid-term future of the city, AKRF provided economic analysis for an updated Comprehensive Plan as part of a consultant team led by MUD Workshop and Urban Matrix.

We identified current real estate and market trends and helped urban planners identify infill opportunities and programming elements that would strengthen the downtown retail environment. The resulting redevelopment and revitalization recommendations capitalized on existing strengths and prioritized projects based on their community impact and implementation costs.
