New York City is building a new sanitation facility and renovating another on a low-lying 14-acre site in Freshkills Park.
AKRF is providing environmental and engineering monitoring services to the construction manager on behalf of the New York City Department of Design and Construction for a new facility that will serve the future needs of Staten Island Districts 1 and 3 with vehicle parking and repair facilities, administrative offices, a recycling center, a salt shed, and more.
We serve as the Construction Quality Assurance firm and our work has included inspecting remedial systems during their installation, documenting daily activities and air quality on site, and submitting weekly reports.
