Downtown Manhattan Heliport Sustainable Delivery Hub

In 2023, New York City announced its plans to transform the Downtown Manhattan Heliport with infrastructure to support electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft and last-mile and maritime freight delivery.

AKRF prepared the CEQR Environmental Assessment Statement for the project, which will utilize marine vessels to transport pre-loaded zero-emission vehicles to a new floating barge landing to be installed on the north side of the heliport pier. A gangway will be connected to the pier and barge landing.
