City Avenue Landscape Master Plan
A new landscape master plan is set to improve a 2.6-mile stretch of City Avenue spanning Philadelphia and Lower Merion Township.
AKRF was part of a consultant team led by SALT Design Studio that worked with the City Avenue Special Services District on a landscape master plan that responds to a planned pedestrian underpass at St. Joe’s; the multifamily, mixed-used project at the Bala Cynwyd Shopping Center; and the potential changes to the Overbrook Regional Rail station.
Our team planned strategic connections and interventions to enhance the visual brand and improve the pedestrian experience of City Avenue.
