Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind Farm
The Department of the Interior announced its approval of the Atlantic Shores South offshore wind farm in July 2024.
Atlantic Shores South, a joint venture by Shell and EDF Renewables, will construct and operate two commercial-scale offshore wind projects off the New York and New Jersey coast.
As part of the ICF consultant team, AKRF is preparing the Biological Resources sections and the Demographics, Employment, and Economics and Commercial Fisheries sections for the NEPA Environmental Impact Statement. We are also leading the Endangered Species Act consultations with NMFS and USFWS and the Essential Fish Habitat consultation with NMFS.
AKRF is providing similar services with ICF for Atlantic Shores North, with the addition of preparing the Seascape, Landscape and Visual Impacts Assessment.
