AMS Yonkers Downtown Development

AMS Acquisitions is bringing more than 3,500 residential units in nine buildings to three sites in Yonkers.
In 2022, the City of Yonkers Planning Board approved the SEQRA Statement of Findings for a mixed-use development by AMS Acquisitions encompassing over 3,500 residential units in nine buildings on three sites in Downtown Yonkers. AKRF prepared the SEQRA Environmental Impact Statement; drafted zoning text and map amendments; and conducted transportation, air quality, noise, shadow, and other technical analyses.
The project required amendments to the Zoning Ordinance to permit increased building heights and reduced parking requirements as well as amendments to two Urban Renewal Plans and a Downtown Master Plan.
The project planner was S9 Architecture.
