Sunrise Wind Offshore Wind Farm

AKRF supported the Construction and Operations Plan as part of the Stantec consultant team. The 924-megawatt project located east of Long Island’s Montauk Point will provide enough clean energy to power approximately 600,000 New York homes.

We prepared the Article VII filing for siting of the export cable and transmission facilities in New York, including preparation of two Environmental Management and Construction Plans, both of which were approved in 2023 to allow the project to begin construction.

We also prepared the air quality section and several of the socioeconomic sections of the COP and performed economic modeling and an environmental justice analysis.
