USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center
AKRF has worked extensively for the U.S. Tennis Association including planning, engineering, and environmental services.
We prepared a SEQRA/CEQR Environmental Impact Statement for the National Tennis Center Strategic Vision and addressed a full range of environmental impacts associated with the tennis stadium, park space, and traffic improvements in Queens.
AKRF also prepared an economic and fiscal impact analysis on behalf of the USTA to identify the benefits of hosting the U.S. Open and USTA’s annual operations at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. Additional projects include site assessment and remediation services and transportation planning studies.
The U.S. Open era recently celebrated its 50th anniversary overall and its 40th anniversary at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. The 46.5-acre campus is home to three stadiums and 22 tennis courts, with another 11 courts in the adjoining park.
