The proposed Midtown Bus Terminal will reimagine Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan and its connection to the Lincoln Tunnel.

AKRF is part of the consultant team leading environmental analysis and documentation pursuant to NEPA/CEQR requirements for the $10 billion project, which will include a new 2.1 million-square-foot terminal, a separate storage and staging building, and new ramps leading directly into and out of the Lincoln Tunnel.

The revised project plan also proposes the permanent closure of a portion of 41st Street between Eighth and Ninth Avenues and the creation of 3.5 acres of publicly accessible green spaces on Port Authority property.

The Draft Environmental Impact Statement was published by the Federal Transit Administration in 2024.
