AKRF is a longtime stormwater consultant to Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.

The Homewood Campus Stormwater Management Master Plan prepared by AKRF is strongly rooted in a new stormwater management design paradigm recognizing that stormwater management systems should play an integral role in advancing a broad set of interrelated planning goals.

The plan presents the institution’s stormwater management regulatory compliance strategy associated with planned expansion activities at its Homewood campus over a 20-year buildout period.

AKRF identified specific, actionable numeric targets for meeting the institution’s goals using a variety of approved Environmental Site Design practices such as micro-bioretention, green roofs, cisterns, and meadows. We continue to update the plan as projects are implemented and provide periodic progress reports to Baltimore City.
