The Alexander Hamilton Center will be a three-story 7,500-square-foot building within the Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park and the Great Falls National Landmark District.

The design team is working with the National Park Service to integrate a new cultural destination with existing historic fabric, new vehicular and pedestrian ADA facilities, and universal accessibility design standards at the environmentally constrained site where the site and building are at multiple levels of elevation.

AKRF has worked with the team to create an accessible site design that also meets requirements for green stormwater infrastructure, regulatory permitting, and environmental cap requirements. We designed bus drop-off and pedestrian accessibility to the site at the upper level, and, at the mid and lower levels of the site, we worked to make accessible connections to existing terraces, walkways, and the planned River Walk.
