AKRF has completed several ground-breaking studies for public agencies to properly identify and assess potential health risks from different events.
Working with experts in public health we have evaluated exposure pathways for lead paint associated with bridge repainting projects, pesticides used to prevent the spread of West Nile Virus, and E. Coli associated with waterfowl activity on our region’s waterbodies. This information is then used by elected officials and public policy makers to frame an appropriate response or planning strategy to keep us all safe and healthy.
Our project experience includes:
- NYC Adult Mosquito Control and Disease Prevention Program, New York, NY
- Westchester Adult Mosquito Control and Disease Prevention Program, Westchester County, NY
- Lead Paint Removal and Disposal for Various Bridges, New York, NY
- Waterfowl Management and Water Quality Preservation at Various Reservoirs, NY
